How to Boost your Self Esteem – Quickly

It doesn’t matter who you are, boosting your self esteem is essential for enjoying life.

It is one of those important things that can easily drift downwards without being noticed.

Sometimes it takes a battering and needs to be built up again as quickly as possible.  Just follow these steps and you will notice a positive improvement.

  1. Never compare yourself to others.  Everyone is unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses.
  2. Remember that you are a special person and that you are entitled to as much consideration as you give to others.
  3. Remember that others like you (perhaps not everyone) and then ask yourself what they do like about you.  This can be a little tough, but ask them if you cannot figure it out for yourself.
  4. Having positive people in your life can really bolster your own positivity.
  5. Remember that nobody is perfect and there is nothing to be gained by putting yourself down.
  6. It is normal to make mistakes. If you do, admit it, apologise, do what you can to put it right and move on.
  7. People tend to dwell on things that didn’t work out for them.  Accept it as part of the learning process and then immediately think about the things that have worked for you.
  8. Just take a couple of minutes as you go to bed at night to recall the positives.  Two minutes – that all – don’t make a chore of it.  You will have a great night’s sleep.
